April 22 marks Earth Day, a time to celebrate the efforts of the environmental movement and to raise awareness of the ongoing need to protect Earth’s natural resources. First held in 1970, it marks the birth of the modern environmental movement and is now the single largest civic event in the world with over one billion participants in 193 countries. Increased global awareness of pollution, climate change, and the need to adopt sustainable practices is driving technological change across all industry sectors and skilled trades professionals are on the front lines.
