For Masters, Navigating Officers, and Bridge Watch Keepers. Focus is on the practical skills required to ensure the safety of the ship, its personnel and cargo, and the protection of the environment. Topics include Bridge Resource Management (BRM) concepts; error chain and situational awareness; bridge organization, leadership, and teamwork; Pilot and crew relationship; passage planning, execution, and recording; effective communication skills; and emergency preparedness.

Prerequisites:

Certificate of Competency and sea experience.
